This may be the only option open to you if, for instance, you need to be able to play blu ray on PC, yet your PC has no serviceable CD drive or USB drive where you can insert such devices.

The web-based installation option is one that is very convenient, and also one that is increasingly very popular, as more and more software vendors opt to distribute their applications directly through the Internet.
