With other manufacturers having developed their own operating system or using one that has become widespread and well known (such as Android) it would seem that Microsoft is late in the game to the mobile operating system and smart phone market. However, when Windows Mobile 7 was released the industry saw a sort of revolution when it came to the way people thought about a mobile operating system.
Similar to Your Desktop
If you have ever used a Windows computer, especially a Windows 7 or 8, then you should fall seamlessly into flipping through your phone, browsing the internet and computing whatever you might need to. The visuals in Windows Mobile 8 are much like the ones that you would see on the desktop version with live tiles and bright colors.Due to the format of the phone’s interface it is very easy to use and much more vivid, allowing for users to find what they need much quicker. Also, unlike previous versions of Windows Mobile the multi tasking function is much quicker and lends the feel of a miniature computer more so than a smart phone.

However, there is no denying when it comes to ease of use that Microsoft prides itself on user friendly interfaces, and Windows Mobile 8 is no different. In addition to featuring a very user friendly interface the hardware capabilities of the phone have been dramatically improved compared to the last phone to feature a native Windows Mobile platform.
With 1.5 GHz Snapdragon processor and a full GB of random access memory the HTC 8x is one of the most convenient and fastest smart phones around today.
Worth Every Penny
While the functional properties of the phone may be what draw most people to it, there is also the durability and outward appearance that matter. The hard resin case is seamless and sleek. Coupled with an attractive glass touch screen the outward looks of the phone make it very attractive to the eye.The buttons are small and not very pronounced, but they are useable and their low profile only adds to the look of the device. The price is also very good when compared to other types of mobile devices which are available today.
At prices as low as £375 for a phone with no plan and as low as £36 for some prepaid plans, the HTC Windows Mobile 8x is perhaps one of the best values around, and is a mobile phone seriosly worth thinking about.
