The Flagship Smartphone LG G3 Arrives in India for Rs. 47,990

LG fans have got a new reason to cheer up, as the company has launched the most awaited flagship smartphone in India. The LG G3 comes in two variants, one with 16GB storage and 2GB of RAM priced for Rs. 47,990, the another one comes with with 32GB storage and 3GB of RAM priced for Rs. 50,990.

Along with the G3 smartphone, the company has also launched the G Watch at the event, which has been priced at Rs. 14,999. As a marketing strategy and to boost the sale of G3 the company will also release 15,000 limited edition Big B smartphones with Amitabh Bachchan's signature, and few lucky buyers would get a chance to meet the star.

The G3 is a high-end flagship device, so it holds some very impressive specs enough to make your mouth watered. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.46GHz and available in two variants, 2GB of RAM for its 16GB built-in storage variant, and 3GB of RAM for its 32GB variant. Both variants comes with an option to expand the storage via microSD card up to 128GB.

 It features a 5.5-inch Quad-HD (1440x2560 pixel) display with a staggering pixel density of 538ppi. It holds a front-facing 2.1-megapixel camera and a 13-megapixel rear shooter with Optical Image Stabilization sensor with dual-LED flash and unique laser autofocusing sensor that can focus in 0.276 seconds.

The G3 is backed by a 3000mAh removable battery that supports wireless charging, and the phone runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box. While launching the device, Soon Kwon, MD LG Electronics India, said, "In the cluttered, complex world of today, the G3 is the perfect blend of the latest innovative technology and simplified user experience underscoring LGs commitment to users and bringing to them the best in class products and devices.

Globally, the G3 has witnessed exceptional traction and we expect the same in India. With G3, LG has truly broken technological grounds and we aim to spearhead our vision of 10 percent smartphone market share by the end of 2014 for LG's mobile division in India."

LG is offering a very attractive package of worth Rs. 15,000 for LG G3 buyers including, a QuickCircle case (Rs. 3,500) bundled for free, along with a Rs. 5,000 discount on the G Watch, and a one-time screen replacement worth Rs. 6,500.

QuickCircle case is a new flip cover especially made for the G3 which features 'Smart Lighting' around the circular window, the QuickCircle cases enable a lock screen UI with special widgets. The company has also redesigned its smartphone user interface with new minimalistic designs which the LG is calling a 'simple flat GUI'. Like Samsung, LG has also used plastic as a build material giving it a metallic effect that genuinely looks premium.
