At the annual I/O conference Google revealed two smartwatches, the LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live both running Android Wear. After that, app companies and developers started to roll-out applications for the Android Wear devices.
This week Google introduced a dedicated section on Google Play for Android Wear apps, along with the official Android Wear app. Truecaller has released an app for Android Wear with Live Caller ID feature and Spam Blocking feature.
With these features Android Wear users will not only able to view the call information but will also let them answer or reject calls by a simple swipe from the Android Wear device. Other features include making calls, sending texts or saving the caller contact information all these by a single tap. The spam blocking feature allow let Android Wear users to know who is calling, whether acquaintance, business or scammer.
"With Truecaller for Android Wear, users will be able to tell right away if the person calling you is a acquaintance, business or scammer, all with a simple glance at your wrist," stated Truecaller CEO and Co-Founder Alan Mamedi.
"At Truecaller, we're committed to pushing our innovation to as many different users and platforms as possible. We're proud to be one of the first apps to launch on the new line of Android wearables that will help our users improve their lives and the value they get from interacting with their favorite platforms and devices."
The company says the Truecaller app for Android Wear well be released soon and can be downloaded from Google Play.
