How to Password-protect Your Outlook Mailbox and Recover a Forgotten Password

4. Click the Settings option.
5. Click the Change Password button.

Note: In case the profile you have configured in Outlook is an Exchange Server account, the Change Password button is not clickable.

In case you are setting a password to the PST file for the very first time, type in your password in both New Password and Verify fields. To update an old password, enter the old password in the respective field.

• Microsoft Outlook does not set a password to your mailbox by default, though you create one manually.
