Control your PC by using Twitter and SMS

You have forgotten to turn off your computer at office or at home? and worry about someone else can access your important data and information. Now you can leave this worry because you can now control your PC from anywhere using your mobile or tablet device or any other computer.

You can perform various functions like you can shutdown, restart, hibernate, download files, take screenshot and lots of other things. It's not a magic but a software called "TweetMyPC".

The current version of this software works only on Windows. This software connects you Twitter account and when you want to give any command to your PC just type it in your Twitter as a tweet and that's all. So let start the process using this software. First create a new Twitter account for this purpose so that you don't have to worry about your security. Now go to settings of your account and enable private tweets by clicking on "Protect my Tweets".

This will allow you to hide your tweets from others. Now go to TweetMyPC, download and install the software on your PC. Open the software and enter your username and password (only Gmail) or you can sign in with Twitter.

TweetMyPC will verify your account within a minute. Make sure it is running in the tray.

 Now it is ready to use. To shutdown your PC type shutdown in your Twitter account or in Twitter client for mobiles and TweetMyPC will display it in your Twitter account as below:

Your remote PC will display a message of shutting down.

Below is a list of commands you can use:

• lock = locks your PC
• reboot = reboots your PC
• standby = puts your PC in standby mode
• hibernate = hibernates your PC
