You can also check for disk errors by running the Error Checking utility. With the passage of time and the way we use our hard disk it can develop bad sectors. Bad sectors create many problems like slowing down your PC, affects hard disk performance and even make data writing difficult. So you must run the error checking utility. A box will pop up, tick the second check box which says Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors and click start.
