3 New iPhone Apps You Need to Get

With the App Store being open for five years now, there are lots of great apps to choose from! We have an app for just about everything nowadays. We live in such a unique time period that so much information and technology is available to us whenever we want.

The iPhone was such a genius and intuitive invention that has propelled the Information Age. Every person as a smartphone in their hands these days, and everyone has just about some sort of access to the internet. Apps have become a simpler more efficient way to do ordinary tasks. So here are a few apps that I've found to be unique that you should get!

1. IFTTT

This app puts the internet to work for you. Such a cool idea, this app allows you to make "recipes" of apps in certain orders. Example: you could make your pictures from your photo album go straight to your flickr account.

IFTTT lets you create connections with a simple phrase, if this then that. So here's another recipe: you could save your Instagram videos to Dropbox, or send new contacts to an email, or certain reminders to your UP feed. The possibilities are endless.

2. Alarm.com

I found this app from a home alarm monitoring company called, Smith Security. They developed this app and do most of their work around the Dallas/Fort Worth area. This app allows you to control, virtually, every part of your home. The app links and syncs up with your alarm monitoring system and then gives you control.

You can control the lights, the thermostat, unlock and lock the doors, even monitor any home security cameras you may have installed. You can also set up a radius reminder around your home, that if you were to cross without arming your home it would send you a push notification and then allow you to arm your home from the app. Great app for security and anyone that does a lot of traveling.

3. Pocket

Pocket is a great looking app! It is also a greatly helpful app. With Pocket you can save webpages, videos, tweets, Facebook posts, anything - to save for later. So say you're at home under wifi, and saw a YouTube video you wanted to watch but had to leave and didn't want to use your data? You could just put it in your Pocket. Any favorite webpage or tweets or anything, all can be put in your Pocket and saved for later.
