Using AdSense With Your YouTube Account

There are few people who do not understand the power of marketing through YouTube videos.  For those who may not have experience in front of a camera or who have not heard their recorded voice often this can be intimidating.

 It is not difficult to create these videos and to use this forum to promote a business’ products and brands. It is also not very expensive as long as you have a good camera and sound equipment. You can also make money doing this by using AdSense to your YouTube account. Below is how you can use AdSense with your YouTube account in order to maximize your profits.

Getting Started

The first thing you need to do is to sign up to your YouTube account and once you are logged in you need to click the user icon. A drop down menu will appear and you should choose the Video Manager choice. Once you are on your dashboard then you should click on Channel Settings and then Monetization.

You then have to enable Monetization and then you can choose your payment method and get more information for the income that you make. You have to already have obtained an AdSense account in order to take advantage of any payment method.

What Comes Next?

Once you have enabled Monetization, you can connect your AdSense account to your YouTube account. You will be offered a prompt that takes you to your account and then you simply follow the steps on AdSense. You are asked which, if you have more than one, Google account that you want to use for your AdSense.

It is important to use your business account because it offers the SEO rankings that you are looking for. Then you are asked for your Google password to verify you are the owner of the account and then accept the association.

Then you will be sent back to your YouTube account to log into the account that you want to monetize. Again, this should be your business account although you can certainly monetize your personal videos too if you choose.

Start Promoting Your Videos

Once you have associated your account you need to promote your videos to get more views on the ad on it.  You cannot click through the link on your own as you have stated that you would not but you can promote your videos as much as possible. For those who promote their videos by purchasing views these views will not help with your monetization.

There is no chance that an ad will be clicked through so don’t expect any return from that aspect of your marketing. But you can make money when anyone else clicks through your ads and uses any promotional links that are on your site.

Anyone who wants to make the most out of their YouTube account can associate their AdSense account to start making extra money. Just remember that you are not allowed to click the links and that you need to follow the step listed above.  Before you know it you’ll have some extra money for your business marketing account or money for something special from your personal YouTube account.
