Programming has become more and more a part of our daily lives. The process of creating software, apps, and computer programs has permeated our daily lives, in a world becoming dominated by computer-based programs.

The popularity of films such as “The Social Network,” glamorizing coding and hacking, have worked to further the interest and passion for coding. Our world is becoming disrupted on a day to day basis through the development of new technologies. Programming has indeed become a way of life, through multiple means.

Self-Education

One can educate themselves in coding through multiple avenues today. Through education sites (that have lessons in coding/programming) such as Udacity, Khan Academy and others, coding is becoming more and more of a way of life.

Especially after the sharp increase in the number of sources of our life that are controlled by computers. Additionally, in other fields such as medical billing and coding, programming is becoming prominent in day to day life, in terms of running these businesses and applying these skills.

Basic Understanding Required

Some services, such as medical coding, will also become more prominent in a future that’s becoming more dominated by technology. For these reasons, medical billing and coding training can work to prepare you for this rapidly changing world, and environment for programmers. It is vital to learn how to code in order to succeed.

Even if you can’t master the process of building your own website or program, it is important to have at least a basic grasp on the subject, when dealing with those involved in the field. Many schools and educational organizations today realize that, and are working to provide for their students through the creation of clubs, among other things.

One club, the “Code Club”, provides an avenue with which kids and students can improve their coding acumen. Through organizations such as this, the role of coding in society has changed rapidly.

Parents, teachers, and members of society are realizing that coding must be learned at an early age in tandem with other computer-based programs, such as Microsoft® Office. After all, the populace, and students especially, should have a grasp on how to build what is used on a daily basis by a large proportion of the population.

Moving Towards Immersion

The future outlook for the development of programming society only points to greater integration with the society in general. For one, social coding communities such as Github and Dribbble are providing avenues to share, in open source, what you are currently coding, for the benefit of all. The next few decades points to an increase of many more sectors of life that will be dominated by computers, and hence, programs built through programming and coding. Programming is an essential skill that may very well not only be a way of life in a few decades - it may be a necessary skill for our daily lives. Indeed, coding, that is, “digital doodling” may very well be preeminent in the future.
