Windows 8 was recently launched by Microsoft and with it, a new look to the old Windows. And of course, Microsoft termed the new operating system as a complete game changer.

The Windows 8, unlike other variants seems to pack more bang with the new upgrade. The top features offered by windows 8 are as follows.

The Change in User Interface

By far, one of the most striking features that Windows 8 offers has to be the flowing desktop look. There are no more folders and icons that were once the symbol of Windows operating system. It has been changed with the dynamic screen and all the different folders have a mobile look. Merely by clicking the different folders, you can explore any program, with ease.

Fabulous App Store

If you are one among those who is hooked on apps as you practically want to have an app for everything, you are going to love Windows 8. It comes integrated with the Windows app store and the store is definitely impressive with a lot of different options.

Stay Updated

All your programs will stay updated on the go and the live feed is definitely a game changer. As far as the web connectivity is concerned, Windows 8 definitely seems to have done a fabulous job. They have offered Sky Drive which is a web based storage offered by Microsoft. Now, users can stay connected as windows 8 constantly tries to locate Wi-Fi networks to enable users to stay logged in, when mobile.

Now users can look forward to better net connection, enabling them to surf online with ease, check out online products such as hi-fi speakers or book a vacation. And of course a better net connection means that users can utilize more apps, to check out everything from sound clarity of audio files to reviewing online transactions.

There are a lot of different changes and not just the externally visible user interface, but the background changes have been significant too. The speed of the processor is a definite improvement and along with the new tweaks, brand new interface, has resulted in a complete transformation of the old Windows package.

Steve Ballmer told that Windows 8 was the riskiest bet that the company had ever taken. While it would be an exaggeration to say that Windows 8 could be termed as the biggest revolution, it is definitely one of the successful launches.

People have loved Windows 8 and though it took some time, but they have finally come around to the view that windows 8 works and is better than the older versions. There is no doubt about the fact that there are a few users who have complained about the absence of the start panel, yet, there are more positive reviews than negative ones.

It looks like Microsoft did the right thing by launching Windows 8 as it turned out to be just the boost that the company needed. The change was welcome in ways more than one and the company saw some impressive increase in revenues. No doubt, there have been complaints regarding the makeover but overall, given the functionality of windows 8, the reviews trend towards “Great”.
