Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Reportedly Launching on February 25

Samsung is planning to hold its annual Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25, 2026, according to multiple reliable sources within the supply chain. This date would mark one of the earliest launches in recent years for the flagship Galaxy S series. The event is expected to take place in San Francisco, following the pattern of the last two years, with a live stream available globally. If confirmed, pre-orders would likely open immediately after the keynote, with devices shipping to customers starting around March 11 or 12, 2026.

What to Expect from the Galaxy S26 Series

The main models expected to be unveiled are:

  • Galaxy S26
  • Galaxy S26+
  • Galaxy S26 Ultra

Key rumoured upgrades include:

  • Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (or similar next-gen flagship chip) across all models
  • Brighter displays (potentially up to 3,000 nits peak brightness)
  • Improved ultra-wide and telephoto cameras on the Ultra model
  • Larger batteries on the base and the Plus models
  • Possible return of a more pronounced camera island design on the Ultra
  • New titanium frame options or colour finishes
  • Galaxy AI features expanded with on-device generative tools

The S26 Ultra is also expected to retain the built-in S Pen, while the base S26 and S26+ may receive more significant camera upgrades compared to previous generations.

Why February 25?

Samsung appears to be aiming to beat competitors to market. Apple typically launches new iPhones in September, but holding the Galaxy event in late February gives Samsung a roughly six-week head start over any potential early iPhone SE or other releases. It also aligns with Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona (early March), allowing Samsung to dominate headlines before the show begins.

Samsung has not officially confirmed the launch date yet. The company usually sends out media invites about 2–3 weeks before the launch event. Most analysts and leakers consider February 25 a very credible target based on factory production schedules and component shipments already underway.

If the February 25 date is real, it would be roughly one week earlier than the Galaxy S25 series launch (February 2025). Expect official confirmation from Samsung in late January or early February.

Stay tuned for invites, official teasers, and detailed leaks in the coming weeks. February 25 could be a big day for Android flagship fans.
