We all live our lives centered on the internet and yet we rarely step back and question where all this came from. 20 years ago the internet had no place in many of our lives and yet now many of us can’t live without it, and that isn’t an exaggeration.

Internet is the centerpiece for world business and the majority of us have a Smartphone that is designed around internet access on the move.

The movement forward is incredible and the depth of expansion is unprecedented, the internet has infiltrated almost all areas of society and there are very few people who can say they are completely detached from it.

The internet is so accessible nowadays that it makes it extremely difficult not to be internet literate. So many devices require the use of it, emailing and social networking is reliant on these devices and in such a technologically advanced world people have to be a part of it.

Businesses run efficiently because of the functionality of the internet and many people have Smartphone’s to ensure access to the internet all day everyday. Imaging a world without the internet is extremely difficult, we are all used to it now but in the past it had no role to play in life.

This opens up the question as to whether we are all addicted to the internet, if it was removed would the world still be able to function. I genuinely believe the world would come to a standstill if the internet stopped working and it isn’t necessarily an appeal anymore rather a necessity.

Internet is wide ranging I the sense that it can be accessed by anyone in the world and it can also apply to the things you can do on it. As a user you can gamble, bank, shop and play games online all with the use of a mobile device and this is down to the functionality of the internet.

The things you can do because of the internet are frightening and there are so many companies out there that use the internet as their sole source of income. You can learn a language online or play a musical instrument; companies such as Pro Music Tutor are an example of that. Anyone who struggles with the internet will find themselves at a distinct disadvantage in general life.

Highly Efficient

The internet is extremely quick and efficient and this one of its greatest appeals. People can do the things they want with extreme speed and efficiency. It is cheap and accessible and allows people to communicate with one another.

As an internet user you will be able to check your bank account, pay bills and order shopping, it is flexible and can fit with the ups and downs of daily life and because a majority of people now use the internet everyone is interconnected by it.

Most job applications are done online now and even some job interviews, it has developed at a frightening rate.
