We all know that when we start any program in Microsoft Office we see a screen before starting of the program for about 3-5 seconds, that screen is called splash screen. It is normal and we don't have any problem with this screen. But, if you are going to use these programs many a times in a day then it is definitely going to irritate you, and you will try to get rid of that splash screen.
So here I am going to tell you that how you can start any of the programs in Microsoft Office without splash screen. just follow the steps below:
Step1: First of all you have to create a desktop shortcut, so right-click on your desktop and click Shortcut.
Step2: In the create shortcut wizard, enter the full path of the Office program that you want to open without the splash screen. At the end of the path, add the switch. For example, if you want to create a shortcut of Microsoft Excel on desktop and the path for powerpnt.exe is "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\EXCEL.EXE". After adding the switch it will become like this:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\Excel.EXE" /e
(Here, /e is the switch for Excel)
Step3: Click the next button, enter the name of the shortcut and click Finish to create a shortcut on your desktop. Now you can open Excel without splash screen.
You can use the same process to open any Office program, but you have to change the switch keyword.
Switch for Word is /q, switch for Access and PowerPoint is /s
