After Aakash, Another Cheapest Tablet Comes In The Indian Market

Penta T PAD IS 701R at Rs 3,250 to rival Aakash Tablet

Recently India became the first country to launch world's first and only cheapest Tablet called 'Aakash'. Aakash tablet is the first cheapest tablet PC in the world. Its price is Rs.2,999 only and it runs on Android 2.3 OS with 3G, GPRS and WiFi supported. Initially it is only for students, but government has planned to launch it in the Indian market for all people. Aakash is getting good response and according to a news report "14 lakh consumers have shown their interest in buying Aakash in just two weeks of putting it on sale online"

But now Aakash is not alone, its rival is coming in the Indian market. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is going to launch 3 tablets soon. These tablets are manufactured by Noida based company Pantel. These tablets range from Rs 3,250 to Rs 13500. The cheapest tablet is BSNL Penta T PAD IS 701R and its price is Rs.3,250. According to the company, despite being cheaper Penta T PAD IS 701R is more reliable and more upgraded than Aakash.

BSNL Penta T PAD IS 701R is a 7 inch tablet and is powered by 1ghz processor and comes with 256MB RAM. It runs on Android OS and has a resistive screen. It is going to put a tough competition for Aakash. But it is a good news for the people indeed, that they got a choice to choose. The other two tablets are also manufactured by Pantel and are priced at Rs 10,999 and Rs 13,500. Both the tablets have capacitive screen, which has better touch sensitivity. These tablets will be launched by BSNL under a special 3G schemes to attract a large number of people.
