My blogspot address changed from .com to...

Are you asking this question that why Blogger changed my blogspot address from .com to .in or any other country-specific Blogger URLs? Then you will get the answer in this article. Google started redirecting all its blogs (except custom domain blogs) to country-specific URLs. For example I am a blogger from India and when I am opening my address it is redirected from .com to .in. See the below example:

Original address: http://senseoftechnology.blogspot.com

Redirected to: http://senseoftechnology.blogspot.in

So you can see clearly from above that .com changed to .in in the above URL.

Why Blogger Is Doing So?

Now the question is why Blogger is doing so? From the URLs we can definitely see that they are redirecting the URLs to country-code top level domain, or "ccTLD." which means that they are categorizing the blogs country wise. According to Google it ill help them in promoting free expression and responsible publishing and it will help them to remove certain post of a blog if requested from their local authority.

For example, in India there raised demand for internet censorship and to remove some stuffs from the web by the government. So, in this case they can remove certain inappropriate content from a blog.

Will It Affect My Traffic?

No, you don't have to worry about the traffic because it is auto redirecting the blogs. So if someone opens you blog from original address they will automatically come to your new address. But your Google and Alexa page rank may be affected so you can check them.

Will It Affect Blogs I Visit?

As I said, it will redirect the blog address according to your country if it’s a supported ccTLD. If you want to prevent the redirection and want to open the original address i.e. dot com address you can add "NCR" after the URL.

Example:

Original URL: http://senseoftechnology.blogspot.com

After adding "NCR": http://senseoftechnology.blogspot.com/ncr

After adding 'ncr' their will be no redirection and it will open with same URL.
