But, it is possible, you can read your Gmail messages and compose new messages without going to your Gmail account. You can do it from your iGoogle homepage. Most of us still don't know about iGoogle.

iGoogle is a personalized Google homepage and you can do many things besides searching. In a simple Google homepage you can only search your query, but in iGoogle you can do more. iGoogle homepage is a page containing your favorite contents selected by you. You can check weather, watch videos, read latest news and lots more. iGoogle offers you to add various applications and gadgets, like YouTube gadgets to watch videos, weather and news gadgets to get weather information and latest news right from your iGoogle homepage.

Now, how to use Gmail from your iGoogle homepage. For this you have to add Gmail to your iGoogle. Follow the steps below to use Gmail from your iGoogle.

• Sign-in to your iGoogle page

• Now, on the left hand side click Add Gadgets

• It will open a list of gadgets. If Gmail gadget is not there you can search for it. After getting it click Add it now, and you will get your Gmail in your iGoogle.

The Gmail gadget will show you only five recent emails. You can edit the number of inbox messages to show by editing the gadget.. You can read your mails and can compose new mails from your iGoogle without going to your Gmail account. You can remove it anytime you want.
