The new
Facebook Timeline has created many confusions and problems for users. All options are changed in a new way and people are not getting it. For example, people are not able to find out how to unfriend a friend in Timeline . The solution is simple but they need to give more time in order to understand the basic options. And now Timeline is coming for
Facebook Pages. Now it is optional but from 30th March 2012 it is going to be mandatory and your page will automatically updated to Timeline whether you want or not. Facebook is trying to give its users abetter experience but changes will create confusions and is creating confusions regarding various options.
There is one option which people use very frequently and that is
setting their Welcome Tab as default landing page. In old interface people can set it by editing the page. Under Manage Permission >> Default Landing Tab and select the Welcome tab if you have created one.
But in new Timeline interface it is definitely not going to be the same. You need to do some external work for setting
Welcome tab as default landing tab. So start setting up by following the steps below:
• Open your Facebook Page and edit your Tabs by clicking the down arrow.
• Click the pencil button on Welcome tab to see options list. Now click
Link to this Tab option and copy the link URL.
• Go to your blog/website and from there replace the Facebook Page URL with this link URL and it is done. Now test it by clicking the Facebook page button on your blog/website you will land on your welcome tab. I have used this process and it works.
