Smartphones Budget BuyersThese days, a phone just isn't a phone unless it's a smart phone . . . and, on top of that, a smart phone is so much more than just a phone. While there are some very pricey models on the market, you don't have to break the bank to join the ranks of smart phone users everywhere. Which smartphones are best for budget buyers? Read on to find out:

Samsung Intercept.

If it is an Android phone you are craving (and who hasn't heard many sing the praises of Android?), then this might just be the perfect phone for you. It has all of the necessary features of a fully smart phone - but just without all the flash - in order to package a great phone for you at a great price; you can purchase the Samsung Intercept for $100 (with a two year AT&T contract), which is roughly $150 less than its other, flashier competitors.

HTC Wildfire S.

Featuring a 5 MP camera and a 320 X 480 pixel screen, this HTC phone is very basic, but perfect for those just entering the smart phone market. Consider the $100 price tage, this next generation Wildfire is also a very solid camera. The S version runs on Android 2.3 and a super fast processor, making it a fully "smart" phone . . . as well as a great buy.

Blackberry Curve 9320.

This smart phone has all of the features that loyal blackberry users have come to love, including a QUERTY keyboard, wide screen, and "candy bar" handset style. As with other Blackberry models, this Blackberry is perfect for people who use their phone largely to check, send, and receive email, but it comes at a very modest pricetag (if you shop around, you can find one for under $100). On top of that, you get GPS, 3G connectivity, and a battery that can last an entire week (given only moderate use).

Huawei Ascend G300.

This is another Android phone that really packs a punch at a great price (around $200). Because the Huawei brand is still not as well-known as other stateside competitors, you are able to get a great deal on a really solid phone, as long as you are willing to take a chance on a new name.

Apple iPhone 4.

That's right - there's an iPhone on the list. While this isn't Apple's latest offering, it is still a super smart smartphone that you can now get for a great price (considering its newest relatives have flooded the market).

Purchase the 8, 16, or 32 GB version, either new or refurbished, for a mere fraction of what you would pay for the latest iPhone. You can use your iPhone in conjunction with RingCentral services to add greater business value and usability to your phone as well.

If you are looking for a way to get into the smart phone market, but without the huge smart phone price tag, then you must explore these great options. Shop around to determine which model is best for you, because at these prices, your choice is really just a matter of taste.
