Google Makeup - Creating Links Accurately

Anyone with any experience with the internet at all will come to one simple observation. The simple observation that you can make is that links are what are most important on the web. The only other part of the internet that comes close to the importance of links is the actual content on the page.

Links are what makes the internet the very thing that people have grown to love over the years. Links allow you to be able to go to a new page easily and without hesitation. Without links the internet would be less like a living document and more like a gigantic big electronic book.

Consider Google as a Visitor

If you own a web page and are trying to get people to come to it, you want to make sure that you build links that are attractive and make sure they go to informative spots on your site. Not only are the people who click them looking for that but Google is as well.

You want to make sure that the links are not considered spammy in nature and they are being laid in parts of the web that is related to the content on the page that they are going to. While Google used to not penalize your website for bad links which were pointing to it, this has changed now. Google seems to be adding it to the list of requirements these days.

It is not known how much links from bad websites influences the decisions of your ranking but we now know that it does play a role.

Only Relevant Niche Specific Incoming and Outgoing Links

For example, if you have a web page that is about car parts and you put a link to it on a site about baking cakes, the people who are on that site and Google are not going to be happy. They are going to think the link and the site that the link is going to is spam. And if you are making money on the web, spam is not a tag that you want to have hanging on your site.

You also do not want to go crazy by laying a bunch of links down on another person's web site even if the content is related to what your site is about. That is not only considered rude to the competing site owner but it also looks spammy as well. Be considerate when it comes to adding links to another person’s site.

Consider High PA/DA Incoming Links

When you create links on another web property you want to make sure you do it the right way. You do this by helping to create value to the site that you are adding the link to. For example, if you are in a forum and you add a link from your website to the discussion, make sure that it is in the flow of the topic that you are talking about.

It also helps that you are already a member of that forum’s community but that is not a necessity. This is also true when you add comments to blogs as well.

Guest Posting Rocks

Another way that you can create links the right way is to make a blog post as a guest on another person’s site. Web site owners are always looking for more quality content and if you can add that with guest post I am sure that they would love to have you.

If you want Google to be happy with your website then you really have to think about making sure the links coming in to your site are done right. In this new era of search engines, quality is the name of the game.
