Apple and Samsung are locking horns on all sort of fronts nowadays. With legal battles over patents and patent infringement, and taunting between the companies themselves, you might be wondering what all the fuss is about.
But with such strong competition on the mobile phone market at the moment, and with the economic situation meaning that people are spending less money on luxury items like smart phones, it's no wonder that these two companies can't get along.
Apple and Samsung are vying for the same customers; they both produce excellent, stylish and expensive products. So who will you side with? In a head to head comparison of Apple's iPhone 5 and Samsung's Galaxy Note 2, we're going to have to side with Samsung...
Its data speeds are around eight and a half times faster than the iPhone's, which means you get your downloads faster and your web pages instantly. It comes with double the RAM (2048 MB over Apple's 1024 MB), which makes the phone both more responsive and gives it a clear advantage when it comes to performing multiple tasks at the same time.
Plus, its processor is a good twenty per cent faster than Apple's, which also helps the phone's responsiveness, and just generally makes it a faster device to play around on.
Like most Android phones nowadays, the Galaxy note 2 has the ability to run multiple applications at the same time, something that Apple seems not to have cottoned on to yet, so you can safely surf the web and carry on a Viber or Skype conversation without getting cut off.
One of the greatest things about the Galaxy Note 2 is its screen. It's a good ninety percent larger than the iPhone's (which you would expect from something that is basically a mini tablet), and measures a huge five and half inches.
It's also a Super AMOLED screen over Apple's rather pathetic choice of LCD screen, which makes it brighter and more vivid. Plus, it has thirty percent better screen resolution. Simply put, you get a better picture on a Galaxy Note 2. Oh, and it has a built in FM radio too, not a big deal, but nice to have.
Given the similarity in price, it seems a no brainer that you'd go for the Galaxy Note 2. It's just a far, far better device.

Why Samsung is Better... than Apple?
The Galaxy Note 2 is the successor to Samsung's popular Galaxy Note. It's certainly larger than the average phone, but given that it was designed as a sort of mini tablet, that's not really surprising. What is surprising is the strong advantages that the Galaxy Note 2 has over the iPhone. For a start, it's faster on pretty much all fronts.![]() |

Say Goodbye to Apple?
The Galaxy Note 2 beats Apple's iPhone 5 on every level. It is big though, which can be off putting to some people. It's definitely a little large to carry around in your top pocket, but the ease with which you can read the screen (particularly when browsing the internet) makes the extra size worth it in our opinion.Given the similarity in price, it seems a no brainer that you'd go for the Galaxy Note 2. It's just a far, far better device.
