• Faster work turn-around—Your workers may already know how to use Excel and create spreadsheets. The question is, are they efficient in using the program? Is the time of completion for every task most optimal for the workload? The correct answer would be no.
Some of your employees might not even use the shortcuts to make life much easier in using Excel. Most of your employees might not be using the features that will catapult their productivities. With proper training, the employees would both proficient and efficient, the two characteristics you would want for your workers.

• Better looking tables—When the employees are having fun using Excel, because they are not being stressed out on how to troubleshoot and make amends of whatever shortcomings they have, they tend to prettify their tables. With too much time in their hands, they would look to properly brush off unnecessary things or redundant cells and misplaced columns.

• Macros and Security—You can protect your business from viruses and other things with better use of Excel. With this, the employees have basic level of knowledge regarding security. Macros can also wipe off long times in data entry functions as much more efficient in transfer of data.
Your employees could also use some lecturing on how to create better passwords for your spreadsheets. There are easy steps to secure your documents, but sometimes, this gets overlooked. So it is nice to reiterate this aspect of business in seminars or trainings.
If you are searching for trainings and seminars on Microsoft Excel, make sure that institution has the latest and greatest versions of Excel. For example, the web app version of Excel should also be included in the course for future-proofing. As it looks right now, cloud-based computing is the future. Or it may not. It is better to prepare today than regret later.
