Apple has been the undisputed king of the smartphone and tablet market for years now but its dominance is oh so slowly being chipped away by brilliant devices from competitors including HTC and Samsung – take the Samsung Galaxy S3III for example.
Even though it was only for a short time, this smartphone toppled the iPhone off the top of the world’s best selling smartphone list for a few weeks in 2012, suggesting tech savvy buyers could be thinking of taking their cash elsewhere.
With rumors of a 5th generation iPad launch in June swirling about online I’m going to suggest a number of features which I think the new iPad 5 will need if it is going to continue to dominate the tablet market, and keep tech fans from moving onto pastures new.

A sleeker design
According to rumors the new iPad will not have any bezels, giving it an all together more sleek finish and one which is very similar to that of the iPad Mini. I think this will be a big plus – Apple products are sold heavily on style, so the iPad 5 must be good looking if it’s going to wow.![]() |

IGZO technology
IGZO technology has been developed by Japanese electronics giant Sharp and the scientific reasons which make it a positive are a little too complex to go into here – but basically the technology would make the screen of the iPad 5 incredibly sharp and much smoother. I think this is absolutely vital for the new iPad, and will really improve the user experience when looking at photos, playing games etc.Better cameras
Many iPad 4 users complained that the resolution of images taken by its front and rear facing cameras left a lot to be desired – and with other rival tablets being noted for their ability to take very crisp images Apple really needs to up its camera game with the new iPad model if it’s going to compete.A faster processor
The iPad 4 was twice as fast as the iPad 3 and Apple needs to carry on with this upward trend. iPad rivals including the Samsung Galaxy Tab boast dual core processors which make them super speedy and if Apple fail to give the 5th generation iPads a speed boost this could tempt tech fans over to another brand. As such, we feel that a speedier, more powerful processor is needed to keep Apple in the game.About the Guest Author:
