Sometimes Our Cars Need A Bit Of IOS Loving Too!

If you are a confirmed petrol head, you probably spend a lot of time tweaking the machine on the weekends. Do you ever think about getting a little bit of technical help onboard?  But the problem is that specialists often cost more money than we have available to spend.

Have you ever thought about looking into some of those cool auto apps that are available to download to your iPhone? We have seen quite a few and we have to say that some of them are pretty sick! Here are a few of the better ones, see what you think!

Carticipate

This is a very cool app indeed, it really captures the essence of what most of the world population is feeling right now. Cars are great, yet they do produce a little too much greenhouse gas every now and then. The way around this is to either get rid of cars that run on diesel and petrol, or start thinking smart about sharing rides.

Many of us drive to and from work and college without a single passenger. Carticipate is a free rideshare application that connects millions of iPhone users together. It is wired into a social network of likeminded folk who wish to give a little back to Mother Earth.

You simply join the forum and add your details to the mix. You will soon be offered lifts and passengers who live in your locale and are ready for some assistance. Currently limited to the USA, this app will soon be a worldwide phenomenon, and you heard about it here first!

iGasUp

Hands up who really hates filling up their tank from empty? It can be a harrowing experience thanks to the escalating fuel prices. There is no sign that they will ever drop, and who knows how high they will reach. None of us really relish buying an electric car, so what is the solution to our woes? Well, the iGasUp is a very useful app that includes a network of over 110,000 gas stations nationwide.

It holds each one’s gas prices and will let you know the cheapest place to fill up in your neighbourhood. It automatically updates these prices and has a time stamp to show the latest hikes. No matter where you are in the US, this application is a must have for that time when your wallet starts to tremble. We love this app and so will your bank manager!

Trapster

If you have ever been caught by one of those police speed traps before? If you have you will remember that sinking feeling as the patrol car pulls you over for some heavy fines and a little humiliation.

If you download the Trapster app, you can wave goodbye to those fines forever. The iPhone’s Wi-Fi allows the Trapster to display your exact location on its inbuilt road maps. Whenever a speed trap is in your proximity, the Trapster will alert you.

It can use a voice alert if you are driving alone and will save you a lot of money indeed. There are over 300,000 motorists currently using this app, so what are you waiting for?

Impressive?
That was just a sample of some apps that will make your driving experience a little more fun and a lot cheaper. Feel free to try them out and let your friends know what they are missing!
