Some businesses have very little time to work on their social media efforts even though they are a very important marketing tool. It is vital for small and large companies to have solid social media campaigns if they want to have a fair competition with other companies.

The time needs to be spent working on social media but there are some ways to save time and to make the process much easier. One thing that can be done is merging all your social media accounts like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to make it easier to share posts.

Merging Twitter with Facebook

Twitter and Facebook are the top two social networking sites right now and they are very important in marketing. One of the great things about both accounts is that they offer a wider audience than you could achieve through typical marketing strategies. Since Twitter only allows one hundred and forty characters, it is difficult to make Facebook posts, which have no limitations, to a Twitter account.

But, you can make a post on Twitter and have it also post onto Facebook. This means that all you have to do is make a short tweet which takes no time at all and it will automatically show up on Facebook. You can set this up on the settings section of Twitter.

Twitter and Instagram

Instagram is a photo sharing website that allows you to post photos directly from your smart phone.  You can edit them and add cool effects to make the pictures stand out more. Instagram also has a feature that not only allows you to post on their site but you can also post to your other social media sites like Twitter.

Because Instagram also uses hashtags like Twitter, this makes it easier to post photos directly to Twitter at the same time as you’re posting to Instagram and you can use the same hashtags to create trends.

What to Avoid

Make sure that when you make your posts for contests or promotions that they are also viable on all social media platforms. For instance, if you want to start a hashtag trend and you decide to have a contest that enters everyone who uses the hashtag into the contest that would only be viable on Twitter and Instagram.

Facebook does not use trending hashtags so this contest would not be available for Facebook users.  In this instance you’d need to make the contest for only Twitter and Instagram users and you’d have to come up with another idea for Facebook. Learn more about getting traffic to your account and you’ll be set to boost your business.

The main thing for businesses to remember is that you have to keep up with the hot marketing techniques and right now social media is just that. While social media networking can be time consuming you can shave some of this time by merging your Twitter account with both Facebook and Instagram.

This cuts your posting time down because you can post to more than one account type at a time and saving time is the same thing as saving money!
