IPad 5 Is Coming: Release Date And Rumors

With the recent release of their brand new handsets (that weren't really all that new, when you think about it), Apple capitalized on its fans tendency of spending lots of money on their products.

Of course, since they want to see good numbers in their financial report for Q4 of 2013, they can't let the tablet scene untouched so we will be seeing a new iPad on the market this fall - the iPad 5.

The new mobile device might be coming out as soon as in a two weeks time, but the official release date has not yet been confirmed, which leads fans of the brand to a near-depressive state. However, do not despair, loyal followers of the corporate giant, or newcomers, or even people who don't care about tablets at all - the new device will hit the market very soon and it will be significantly improved.

Whether or not it's worth the upgrade, you will decide when it comes out. For now, let's speculate on the upgrades and the release date.

Release date of iPad 5

Word on the street (because any self-respecting citizen gets his news from the street) is that the new handheld will grace us with its presence as early as the 22 of October - a little more than a week from now. For now, though, the date has not yet been confirmed, so it's not set in iStone (this joke is getting old, isn't?).

Another speculation from conspiracy theorists is that the new product will be released November 1, because it's Friday. It's also 10 days after the supposed event on the 22 of October so if we are to trust these 'reliable' sources, that's just what might happen, because the same phenomenon occurred before the release of the iPhone 5S and the 5C. Whatever the case, we will know soon enough.

Improvements in iPad 5

As far as improvements go, Apple has always been more about aesthetics and user experience than they have been about numbers, benchmarks and processing power, so it stands to reason that, since they base their whole marketing scheme around it, the majority of upgrades will be made around the areas of the display, the design and the camera.

Display and camera of iPad 5

The display will probably get a higher resolution, because that would be nice for the marketing pitch, especially in combination with the new and improved camera with bigger sensors that will be able to do excellent photos even in dim-lit areas such as bars, pubs, toilets, clubs, etc. (use your imagination).

Hardware

The hardware will also surely receive a boost, although probably not as much as one would think considering the money one is paying. It will probably be able to outshine most of its competitors, at least on paper, but I doubt that the casual user will notice the difference.

The new iPhone is way more powerful than the old one as far as numbers go, but the performance boost is barely noticeable unless you look for it. The new A7 processor is surely a nice addition to the handset, which leads me to believe that a version of the new Apple mobile processor will be coming with the iPad 5, as well.

Touch ID

It stands to reason that the new iPad will be equipped with Touch ID - the biometric security system using your fingerprints to unlock the device introduced with the iPhone 5S. After all, that's Apple's new gimmick, so I doubt it will stay out of the iPad.

Conclusion

To conclude all the unconfirmed speculation, the new iPad will be better than the old one, but if history is to be trusted, it's not going to be that much better than its predecessor, yet people will still buy it. It's an undeniable fact that Apple's tablets are good, so in the end it's about personal preference whether you will be purchasing it or not.
