In PSTN, the landline phones do not depend on electricity supply hence it can still be used even if power is out. PSTN also helps someone get in contact with the Emergency 911 representative. The IP telephony system makes the 911 team confused in locating the caller. On the other hand, a person’s address is physically linked to their traditional telephone number when one is still using the PSTN.
