Not even 3 months later, the Internet is all of a sudden flooded with iPhone 6 rumors and speculations. Of course, I couldn't ignore this and not join the bandwagon. Most of you are probably wondering, though, why do we ever bother writing about rumors? And the answer is simple - we love to speculate.
It's a great feeling to refer to an older article and have people know you predicted something right. Of course, if you're wrong, you're wrong, but nobody cares about that or will even remember. It's interesting, though, isn't it? Not even three months after the release of Apple latest flagship, we are already talking about the next.
This one, the current one, got old and boring in a week. I mean, this is just baffling - people pay lots of money for these phones and get bored so quickly. Part of the reason is, I think, that you know that there will be a new release not even a year later so you won't be stuck with your current phone for long.
Here, of course, I'm talking about the true enthusiasts - the people willing to wait for three days in the cold just so they can be the first people doing what millions of others will do shortly. Makes them feel special like that.
They show their love and support for Apple, and Apple cares very much about that. Anyway, let's see what the rumors are saying about the iPhone 6 - holographic imagery? DNA analysis? Direct connection to the Batcomputer? Afraid not...
Display
Well, we will be getting a bigger display, though. Apple've going around telling people 'size didn't matter' for long enough. Now they are just too far behind and want to catch up. They got sensitive about people saying they have tiny little displays, so the new iPhone will be with a 5-inch display (or at least that's the word on the street). This is truly neat and I must say, it was about time. Phablets are the future, my friends, and size plays an important role in that respect.![]() |

Another change in the display is the eventual addition of eye-movement tracking, because how were people using displays before that technology was introduced? Still, Apple's not poor on gimmicks, but getting one more wouldn't hurt.
I find it interesting, though, that when Apple do something other companies have been doing for years, it's all cool, but when other companies do what Apple is doing, all of a sudden they're getting sued or at least crucified in the comment sections of various media and Apple's forums. Food for thought...
Hadrware
The hardware is of course being improved and we might finally get a quad-core processor. What I find here interesting again is that Apple have been saying that the number of cores doesn't really matter, but then again, it obviously does if they are adding more. The new processor is supposed to be a lot faster than current generation. The camera is getting buffed, too, with the speculated 13 megapixels. We might even get more RAM. It's possible the new device will offer more in terms of storage capacity. And of course, the design will be slightly changed so you don't think you're buying the same product over and over again. All in all, it's supposed to be a vast improvement over the current flagship. Time will tell if that's the truth.
