There are so many different types of phone out there and it is becoming a tough task separating what phones are good and what phones aren't. A lot of people associate smartphones with the Apple iPhone because that was pretty much the first of its kind, I can understand this but there is so much more variety out there.
We live in a technologically advanced world now and all of the big technology providers have given the smartphone market a go. If you are looking to keep under a budget then it is important to shop around and check out the specifications of all the phones individually, this is pretty much the best way to get a handle on what is available. The internet is the best place to start any search and in doing so you can gage the price of the phones available.
The tone I have taken so far is that the only alternative is another smartphone but that really is not the case. There are so many, much simpler and cheaper phone versions on the market that really can give you the same level of functionality.

Social Interaction
The rise of the smartphone has certainly led to a reduction in social interaction, people just aren't willing to talk to each other in person as much. Facebook and social media focus has increased so much and that is due to the smartphone and the ease of access we all now have.
Cheap Options
There are many other cheaper options out there, the Android for example. This variant has all the same features of an iPhone and is a fraction of the price. It is all down to personal preference and people have got to know what they want from their device. There are options out there so don't just immediately think the iPhone is the only phone for you.
