If you are a 'selfie' lover then this big smartphone is made for you. Sony has officially announced the Xperia C3 Android smartphone which it claims is the world's best 'selfie' smartphone. The Xperia C3 is a mid-range smartphone, so the specs are not very high but somewhat impressive for a normal user.
The smartphone features a 5.5-inch 1280 x 720 HD Triluminos display and powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It is backed by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage with an option to expand further up to 32GB through the microSD card slot.
The Xperia C3 holds a 2,500mAh battery that is rated to give up to 24 hours of talk time. It has got an 8-megapixel rear shooter and that 5-megapixel wide-angle PROselfie camera on the front with a front-mounted LED flash to further enhance self-shot photos.
It comes with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, so you'll get all the KitKat goodies, plus a number of pre-installed apps also reinforce the buzzword-heavy nature of the phone. Because it's an exclusively made for 'selfie' smartphone it has got some extra camera features such as a Superior Auto and Portrait Retouch v2.
According to Sony, "A Superior Auto on both front and rear cameras automatically adjusts settings for specific scenes, with four scene types for the "selfie" cam and 36 for the main. While the Portrait Retouch v2 helps you adjust your selfie shots with preset options, including four natural looks for "guys" and six for women."
The Sony Xperia C3 will be available in black, white and mint green color variants and will arrive in August 2014. It will launch in China first and then roll out globally.
