Apps for Contact Lens Wearers
Apps have become an essential component of this modern world. They have touched nearly every aspect of life, including wearing contacts. Here is a list of the top six apps for contact lens wearers.

All of these apps can be found on the iPad, although many work on other devices as well.

1. Contact Lens Tracker

Contact Lens Tracker starts off this list, because it is basic, but free.  After entering the day they began using a pair of contact lenses and how long the lenses are good for, Contact Lens Tracker will help people monitor their lens’ usage.  Its display includes how many days a set of contacts has been worn, and how many more they can be worn for.

2. Contact Lens Reminder

Contact Lens Reminder is very similar to Contact Lens Tracker.  Contact Lens Reminder helps people avoid using contacts for more days than they should be used, which increases the risk of disease.  It shows the same data as the previous app but is not free.  With the $0.99 price tag for Contact Lens Reminder come better graphics than Tracker has.

3. Vision Test

Vision Test is a fun little app.  As its name indicates, it contains several vision tests.  This app, which was built by 3-Sided Cube, provides entertainment, but people should still visit their eye doctor for an evaluation.  Vision Test is free.

4. Amazing Sharingan

Amazing Sharingan is another fun app, for both contact lens wearers and those who do not wear contacts.  After users load an image of themselves, this app allows them to place colored contacts over their eyes.  Some of these contacts are outlandish drawings from anime characters.  This is another free app.

5. LUMA Eye

LUMA Eye is a much more serious app than Amazing Sharingan.  It is made for doctor’s offices, to be used by patients while they are waiting.  This app explains various vision issues, as well as their treatments.  Although the content is serious, it is given in mildly entertaining video and unique vision simulation.  The video has closed captioning, so uninterested patients do not need to listen.  LUMA Eye is a free app.

6. Eye Care++

The final app on this list can help anyone.  Eye Care++ has several natural exercises people can do to keep their eyes healthy.  These exercises only take a minute to complete.  The developers of Eye Care++ also realized how important rest is to one’s eyes, so they included a rest reminding function in the app. This app is priced at $0.99.

These are some of the best apps for people who wear contacts, and a few also can benefit people who wear only glasses.  Some are purely fun, while others have important information that can help people improve their eyes’ health.  All of these cost a dollar or less.
