Google is owned and managed by mostly young, entrepreneurial types, and Google encourages its employees to constantly be brainstorming new ideas. It is no surprise, therefore, that there are a whole slew of them on board for this year.
• Gmail will be even better with the addition of Google+. You can find emails of people you keep in touch with simply by including them in your Google+ circle. Whether you can’t find an email you sent to them, or just want to keep straight your exchanges, you can do this with Google+. When they are in your circle, all of the emails back and forth are organized together.
• Google Voice allows you to get great international calling rates, get your phone calls within Gmail and get notifications of voice mails and texts with a Google Voice telephone number.
• Google Docs has introduced a new presentation feature. You can work with others on a presentation and see changes in real time, collaborate with others for charts and diagrams, add great new animations, including a shape linking feature that turns any shape in your presentation into a link. New formatted themes make it easy for even the most uncreative of us to create great presentations.
• Google Chat lets you invite all of your friends on a chat with the new Talk Gadget. All you have to do is click on the chat with friends button and invite as many friends as you like.
• Google Sketch up lets all of you designers and architects out there really let your imaginations run away with you. Just play around with Sketchup 7 and you will not believe what you can do with your own designs as well as the great designs in the Google library.
• Google Calendar lets you keep track of your time all the time. You need to have Google Chrome for this, but if you want to access your calendar even when you are not online, you can do so without an internet connection. You can view and change your calendar and even respond to invitations, all offline.
• Google Earth Version 6 is faster and easier than ever to use. You literally “fly” from outer space down to the streets of your town with the speed of a rocket ship. For major cities, Google Earth has now even soft landscapes, such as trees on streets, in parks, etc.
• And then, of course, there is Google Chrome. This is a fast, free web browser that runs websites and applications with lightning speed. It launches quickly, loads pages instantaneously, and allows you to search and navigate from the same tool bar.
In addition, in the age old (well, a few years old) tradition of Google, all of these features are constantly being upgraded and improved, so there is always something new at Google.
If you’re feeling a little lost with all of the changes with Google you might want to consider reading up on background check reviews and hiring someone to help you out with it. Sometimes all you need to become an expert with a new feature is a little help to show you how to do it!
