Since the HTC launched its flagship the HTC One M8, rumors of a "mini" version of the HTC One M8 is surfacing online, and now we've got some concrete evidence that it's nearing completion. The @evleaks posted on its Twitter wall the photos of the HTC One Mini 2 showing the new device in three different colors, White, Silver and Gold.
From the leaked photos or seems the company has preserved the style and materials of the current HTC One line. The miniature device is almost identical to its flagship, having metal body, dual front-facing speakers but omitted the much-ballyhooed Duo camera.
The dual secondary rear camera sensors are used for various quality-enhancing photo functions. The leaked photo also shows a single LED flash module on the back, as opposed to two on the M8. Because it's a mini version, the specs are also brought down, the HTC One Mini 2 features a 4.5" 720p screen and powered with Snapdragon 400 processor.
It include 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage plus MicroSD card slot and running Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box. It sports 13 MP rear camera with the 5MP front-facing camera, meaning that the "Ultrapixel" camera design is reserved for the flagship.
The price and release date of the HTC One Mini 2 is not yet announced, but we are keeping an eye for the official confirmation from the company.
