Finally the Sony Xperia Z2 is making its way to India. According to the sources from Economic Times Sony will launch its latest flagship device, the Xperia Z2 on May 8 in India. Sony has started sending out invitations for the press event which suggested a smartphone launch on that day.
The price of the device is not yet known, but Amazon UK has started pre-orders at 544.87 Pound Sterling, which works to a little over Rs 56,000 in India. Xperia Z2 is IP55/58 certified, that means it is water and dust resistance. Because it's a high-end device the specs are really mind-boggling, it flaunts a 5.2-inch screen with a full-HD (1920x1080 pixels) LCD display and a layer of glass protecting the screen and back.
It is powered with 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 processor and boasts of 3GB of RAM, which is higher than the couple of other flagship devices currently available in the market such as the Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8. Xperia Z2 comes with 16 GB of internal memory which can be expanded to 64GB. The device will be running the latest Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
The most impressive feature of the device is its 20.7 megapixel primary camera that has several features including image stabilization and the ability to record 4000 videos. It sports a 2.2-megapixel front camera, which will come in handy for selfies.
